NKU enforces their fleet with new mobile crane

NKU of Nykøbing Falster has just added a new mobile crane to their fleet. The company specializing in special transport, truck cranes, and mobile cranes, believes in a strong recovery in the industry

NKU of Nykøbing Falster has just added a new mobile crane to their fleet. The company specializing in special transport, truck cranes, and mobile cranes, believes in a strong recovery in the industry, and the new Grove GMK5130-2 with a lifting capacity of 130t is therefore a strong supplement to the other two mobile cranes in the fleet.

Grove was a deliberate choice

Having been in the business for 45 years, NKU knows the industry very well. The order for the new GMK5130-2 was placed with UN Mobilkraner with complete time to breathe. "We notice an increasing activite in the industry and was looking for a crane with more flexibility. We chose the Grove crane, since we saw a correlation between service and quality at a resonable price" says Torben Skab, Manager at NKU. The new 130 ton crane is to fill in the gab between the two existing mobile cranes, which lift 80 ton respectively 220 ton.

The Grove 5130-2 is a classic all-round crane and is suitable for the verying types of tasks at NKU, who carry out all types of lifting assignments, amont others element assembly and erection of steel structures. Ahead of the delivery of the Grove mobile crane, two NKU employees received a two-day instruction training in the functions of the new mobile crane. ”This training put our crane operatiors in a good position to operate the crane, so when it arrived medio August we could put it into service right away", says Torben Skab.

24 hour service and parts in stock

In general NKU is very pleased with the cooperation with UN Mobilkraner. ”They have met the agreements concluded - and we have experienced good service throughout the process", says Torben Skab. At the same time UN Mobilkraner always has spare parts in stock in Sorring near Silkeborg and the company also has a 24 hour service, so in case of breakdown NKU will not have to wait long for assistance.
