Delivery of a new 300-metric-ton GROVE mobile crane to a Faroese contractor
One of the leading construction companies specializing in port construction in the Faroe Islands has taken delivery of a new mobile crane as part of a strategic investment in its own equipment.
The company, Sp/F Rókin, previously rented cranes for its projects but has now chosen to expand its capacity with a powerful addition to its own fleet.
The new GROVE GMK6300L-1 mobile crane has a lifting capacity of 300 metric tons and is equipped with an 80-meter boom. The boom length enables complex lifts without the need to frequently relocate the crane.
This is a high-performance crane with impressive lifting power, well-suited for tasks and projects under the challenging conditions of the Faroe Islands.
"We view this investment as a natural evolution of our business. With the GROVE crane in our own fleet, we are no longer dependent on external suppliers, which makes us fare more competitive", says Sp/F Rókin.
